FAQs

We've found that some questions crop up more often than others. So we've listed the most frequently asked below. If you can't find the information you need below, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Schemes & Login

Please contact your HR department or who would be most relevant in your company to who looks after this, as they have the secured username & password.

All companies have a different way of managing this. We can only pass the username & password out to those who are the registered contacts on the company portal.

Yes, we can change the settings on your account and remove the need for log-in details. Employees will simply need the URL for your Portal.

At the moment sign-ups are currently paused whilst we review the corporate schemes. If you’d like to register your interest into our schemes, please email corporate.eyecare@visionexpress.com with your company name, sector, employee size or membership size and database size if relevant. Only emails with these details will be automatically added to a contact list for when the schemes are back live.

We no longer provide a safety eyewear scheme. If you would like to purchase safety eyewear for your employees, you can purchase safety glasses through our private safety route.

The private safety route is where yourself or an employee can go into a Vision Express store and purchase a pair of safety glasses. The customer would pay the full amount in store.

All companies set up on the driver’s scheme are being moved over to the VDU scheme as they have always been the same.

The new scheme benefits include:

  • No voucher fee/ non invoice only.
  • Free eye test when you spend £50 or more
  • £49 discount when you spend £99 or more

If you opt out of the offer you will have 3 months from today until your company loses access to all the benefits the scheme offers.

No, the old VDU scheme ends on the 20th of September 2022, the new and improved VDU scheme will then be the sole scheme going forwards. The safety and drivers schemes have been completely removed. The New Vision Select Scheme is now in place.

Additionally, if you ever change your mind, please feel free to register your interest and we will add you to the waiting list and get you signed up as soon as possible.

We have a corporate line that we monitor part time for existing enquiries, but it will be a lot easier for you if you ask any questions/queries over email and we will respond to them as soon as possible.

Vouchers

No due to covid and the new hybrid working model, we are currently accepting vouchers without signatures.

This is referring to your companies cost code/ centre if needed. For example, some companies use different codes for different areas of the business.

Check your spam – some email providers automatically filter out certain emails. If you still can’t see it in your inbox, please download the voucher instead.

With the schemes being set up for non-invoice, employees can simply pay the full amount in store and then claim back the agreed contribution from the employer via internal expenses.

With the new schemes there will be no invoicing, the customer will pay the fee in-store and claim back the eye test through their employer. The company will save paying for the £25 eye test when an employee requires eyewear, taking the total over £50 and then the £25 eye test will be taken off the total bill. This process will effectively streamline the service, preventing any potential issues that the invoicing route had. As we are moving to non-invoice this will be up to yourselves on how to reimburse your employee’s.

Eye Test/ Booking

No as Vision Express could be liable and we want to ensure the eye exams are up to our standard to benefit you the most.

  • 1. Download your voucher, ensure all information is correct
  • 2. Ring up your desired store to book and appointment and let them know which voucher you have
  • 3. Attend your appointment with your voucher

If a customer doesn’t require eyewear, they will only be charged the £25 standard fee for the eye test. We have found that most customers up spend but if an individual doesn’t require eyewear, they will only pay £25 for the eye test.
